CALIBRATION INSTRUCTIONS
Laboratory Instruments Used for This Procedure:
PAR-809 Variable Resistance Reference
Procedure:
- Insert one new 9-volt battery. Insert test leads into PAR-809 and the ACL 386 end jackets.
- Turn the PAR-809 knob to #1. Press test button on the ACL 386. The second LED light will go on indicating 10^4 on the ACL 386.
- Turn the PAR-809 knob to #2. Press the test button on the ACL 386 through the rest of the sequence.
- When the PAR-809 knob is set to #2, the third LED light will go on indicating 10^5 on the ACL 386.
- When the PAR-809 knob is set to #3, the fourth LED light will go on indicating 10^6 on the ACL 386.
- When the PAR-809 knob is set to #4, the fourth LED light will go on indicating 10^6 on the ACL
386.
- When the PAR- 809 knob is set to #5, the fifth LED light will go on indicating 10^7 on the ACL 386.
- When the PAR-809 knob is set to #6, the fifth LED light will go on indicating 10^7 on the ACL 386.
- When the PAR-809 knob is set to #7, the sixth LED light will go on indicating 1^08 on the ACL 386.
- When the PAR-809 knob is set to #8, the sixth LED light will go on indicating 10^8 on the ACL 386.
- When the PAR-809 knob is set to #9, the seventh LED light will go on indicating 10^9 on the ACL 386.
- When the PAR-809 knob is set to #10, the seventh LED light will go on indicating 10^9 on the ACL 386.
- When the PAR-809 knob is set to #11, the eight LED light will go on indicating 10^10 on the ACL 386.
- When the PAR-809 knob is set to #12, the eight LED light will go on indicating 10^10 on the ACL 386.
- Unplug the leads from the ACL 386. The red LED should come on.
- Place your fingers across both brass bars on the back of the ACL 386m shorting both bars together. Check that the LED's adjust accordingly.
(Between 10^4 and 10^6 ).
- Take the battery out of the ACL 386.
- Place a calibrated sticker on the unit.
