How can I get a
material safety data sheet sent to me for an ACL Staticide product?
These sheets are available on-line through this web site. Simply click on any red icon
labeled 'safety' next to any product. This has been designed to be viewed or printed for
your convenience. Or, just call, fax, or e-mail a customer service representative at ACL
and he or she can fax or mail you a material safety data sheet for any ACL Staticide
products.
STATICIDE ANTI-STATIC SOLUTIONS & WIPES
What is the
difference between Heavy Duty Staticide and General Purpose Staticide topical antistatic
solutions?
Heavy Duty Staticide is a topical antistatic generally used on porous surfaces such as
clothing, carpeting, and chairs to eliminate and help prevent static generation. However,
General Purpose Staticide is used on non-porous surfaces such as desk tops, plastics,
glass, and vinyl floors.
Can you use Heavy Duty Staticide to wipe down table
tops and chairs?
It depends on the type of surface material -
please see the "Question and Answer" immediately above. Since Staticide is a
water-based product, Heavy Duty Staticide can not be used on table tops or chairs made of
fine, finished wood because it would leave a greasy residue on the surface in addition to
damaging the surface.
Will the Heavy Duty
Staticide wear off from vacuuming or shampooing the carpeting?
Eventually, the Heavy Duty Staticide will be
abraded off by any friction or if it is washed off with soap and water. Specifically,
general vacuuming will not remove the Staticide treatment but shampooing will.
How long do topical antistatic solutions last?
It depends on each product, the application, and
the degree of traffic on an area. In general, on porous surfaces such as carpeting, Heavy
Duty Staticide will last 3-6 months, and General Purpose Staticide will last on non-porous
surfaces 1-2 weeks.
Can you use
SW-12 Staticide Wipes on optics or glasses?
It is not recommended to use these SW-12 Staticide Wipes on optics or glasses.
Does product # 5001 - Clean
Room Staticide contain any sodium or contaminants?
No, product # 5001 - Clean Room Staticide does
not contain any sodium or contaminants. In fact, it is filtered to 0.5 microns.

You can use this product on materials
such as table tops, antistatic mats, chairs, all plastics, vinyl, and rubber materials. It
is not designed for use on glass or wood based materials

Mat and Table Top Cleaner (#6001) degrade the static dissipative properties of the surface being
cleaned?
No, the ACL Mat and Table Top Cleaner will actually restore the static dissipative properties of
the mat, table top, or other conductive surfaces treated.
Is it safe to use the
product # 7001 Staticide Hi-Tech Hand Lotion with gloves?
Yes, the Hand Lotion actually enhances the
performance of the glove.
Will using the
product #7001 Hi-Tech Hand Lotion leave a residue or adversely affect the object I am
working on?
No, this Hand Lotion does not leave a residue and has a non-acidic formula which contains
no glycerin, silicone, lanolin, or mineral oil.

Product #8000 - Equipment Cleaning Wipe ( 7" x 7") is
mostly used on the external housing of computer and other office machines.
Is the product #8008 - Static Neutralizing Lint
Free Cloth a wet treatment or a dry treatment of antistat?
Product #8008- Static Neutralizing Lint Free Cloth is a dry cloth which
removes dust and neutralizes static on contact.
Is the product # 8022 and 8023 - Laser Printer
Cleaning Sheet safe to use and on which machines is it safe to use it on?
The product # 8022 and 8023 - Laser Printer Cleaning Sheet is made of a
patented material which safely cleans the paper paths of laser printers. This product will
not work on ink jet printers but ACL is developing a product to be used specifically for
cleaning the ink jet printer.

Yes, it is safe to use the product # 8022 and 8023 - Laser Printer Cleaning Sheet on a
photo copier.
How many times can product # 8022 and 8023 -
Laser Printer Cleaning Sheet be used?
One sheet can be used 4-5 times for one application or cleaning. Specifically, the same
sheet is fed through the manual feeder of the printer 4-5 times for a complete cleaning.
Will IR-12 Hand Ink Remover Wipes remove ball
point pen?
Usually, this product can not remove ball point pen ink simply because ball point pen is
an indelible ink. However, it is excellent at removing toner ink from hands.
Will IR-12 Hand Ink Remover Wipes remove pen ink
from office equipment?
No, it is designed as a hand cleaner only and it will most likely not remove pen ink from
the external housing of office equipment.
