Economic utility megohmmeter
Staticide® 395 Resistance Meter features sophisticated circuitry that allows for the same utility as megohmmeters at an economic price. Utilizing color-coded zones, the logarithmic LED scale is easy to read and evaluate. Half decades indicate the measurement, giving a closer indication to the actual value. An orange “warning” zone alerts to measurements approaching the upper end of the dissipative scale. The lightweight, pocket-sized meter can be used with either the internal rails or with optional external probes.
The conductive rubber rails provide superior contact when measuring according to ASTM D257. This meter is perfect for assurance check on packaging and assembly lines. Because it's so easy to use, we recommend it for custodial personnel to check ESD workstations and floors during regular cleaning.
Complete the Staticide® 395 Resistance Meter with the 396 Accessory Kit, which includes a set of Staticide® 255 5-lb probes for performing resistance-to-ground (RTG) and point-to-point (RTT) testing. When the optional probes are used, this kit complies with IEC 61340-4-1, ANSI/ESD STM 4.1, and ANSI/ESD STM7.1, making it a great choice for auditing in material production and laboratories. The kit also includes a molded plastic carrying case and two stereo-to-banana cables.
Place tester on surface to be tested. Apply five pounds of pressure while depressing red test button. The corresponding LED for the test value will illuminate. To measure resistivity in ohms per square, test using the built-in rubber electrodes. To measure resistance in ohms, test using the optional external 5-lb probes. Detailed instructions are found in the manual.
