Ideal for Ionized Environments
Staticide® ACL 450B Digital Static Field Meter is ideal for determining the source of electrostatic charges in areas where static is of concern, particularly in ionized environments. Unlike other field meters, the chopper-stabilized circuitry of the ACL 450B is immune to interference caused by ionizers. This handheld field meter’s ability to make consistent and accurate measurements makes it perfect for performing static surveys and evaluating charge accumulation in electronics manufacturing, assembly, and other industrial operations such as converting, printing, packaging, plastics processing, and textiles.
The MEASURE/HOLD button enables test capturing by locking data at an instant. A bullseye beam allows for precise measurements at a 1-inch distance in the voltage range of ±19.99 kV. For monitoring and data recording, the 2.5mm output jack provides easy interfacing. A charged plate adapter is available for testing ionizing systems.
Ground meter by snapping a ground cord from the back of the meter to a grounding point. Turn switch to ON position. Point the aperture toward a grounded object and use the ZERO potentiometer to adjust to zero.
To measure charge, approach target surface from at least 12 inches away while aiming the electrode towards the surface until the flashing bullseyes lines up at approximately 1 inch. End measurement if voltage exceeds ±19.99 kV. Press the MEASURE/HOLD button to freeze display and capture reading.
