The album collectors at ACL Inc have identified our flagship Staticide® as ideal for the maintenance of their vinyl records. General Purpose Staticide® is an anti-static topical that's easy to use and highly effective at controlling electrostatic charge. It improves sound quality by preventing the attraction of dust and build-up of charge during playback of otherwise static-prone vinyl records.
Our research indicates that the same active ingredient in Staticide® is used by vinyl record manufacturers to condition records coming out of the factory - but no one would confirm when we reached out for specifics!
Ideal for the following applications:
- Prevent dust attraction
- Reduce noise from tribogeneration at the needle during playback

- Includes one 4oz bottle of Staticide® General Purpose (#530) and 50x 4"x4" one-time use microfiber wipes (#8404MF)
Directions:
Spray a microfiber wipe 3-4 times with General Purpose Staticide®. In a circular motion, wipe each side of the record with the dampened wipe until the entire surface has been coated in Staticide®. Allow to dry and repeat on the other side.
It is safe to touch surfaces treated with Staticide® with bare hands once they have dried - but always hold vinyl records from the edges to prevent oils and dust from getting in the grooves!
