Staticide® 8095 Copper Adhesive Grounding Tape
Intended for use with all floor coatings
In static-sensitive environments where ESD presents a risk, creating a safe path from static dissipative floor coatings to earth ground will dissipate charge buildup that could damage sensitive electronic components. Using Staticide® 8095 Copper Adhesive Grounding Tape reduces the chance of electrostatic discharge (ESD) by safely moving charges to a grounding post or grounded outlet.
We recommend placing the copper tape on top of a fresh layer of ESD coating with one side connected to a earth ground, then covering the tape with the second coat of the ESD coating. A ground source can be an electrical outlet, conduit, building steel, or dedicated grounding bar. Typically, people use one grounding strip for every linear 1000 sq. ft. of ESD flooring, but there is no standard.
